Kiev is the capital of Ukraine and its heart. Now it is known for Euro 2012 more but still Kiev is well known all over the world as the capital of Kiev Rus. Today it is big centre of industry and millions of tourists from Europe, Asia and America visit Kiev every year. As Kiev is big it has three airports. The biggest airport is an international airport Boryspil it is also known as Borispol Airport (international code KBP). This airport consists of three terminals:
1.Terminal A, (domestic flights)
2.Terminal B, (international flights)
3.Terminal C, (business jets and VIP passengers)
Two more terminals (D and E) will be build in 2010-2011. This airport is situated 29 km (18 mi) east of Kiev.
Other two airports are Zhulyany Airport and Gostomel Airport. Zhulyany Airport is a passenger airport and is located in the south part of Kiev it is not so big as Boryspil and serves more for domestic flights. Gostomel Airport is a cargo airport and it is located in the suburb of Kiev near Gostomel city and mostly used by world-known Ukrainian company named after Antonov.
Speaking about the railways stations main passenger railway station in Kiev is "Kiev-Pasazhirskiy" in English Kiev Passenger Railway Station that serves more than 180,000 passengers per day, it is really huge complex of passenger terminals, railways, depots etc. and is under the control of Ukrzaliznytsia - the national railway company of Ukraine.
If to speak about the bus stations in Kiev you will found about 10-15 of them.
So all this show that Kiev is really big city where you can be lost during your Kiev tour without our help :)
